Hightown
Background
Our customer, Dee Kelly, contacted us to enquire about a lightweight conservatory roof replacement in Hightown, just outside of Liverpool. Their existing conservatory had a polycarbonate roof, which rendered their space unusable for most of the year. Polycarbonate conservatory roofs are renowned for their poor temperature control and a room that’s swelteringly hot on sunny days and freezing during winter is no use to anyone!
After much research, they decided to upgrade their old conservatory with a solid SupaLite roof. They found Lightweight Roofing Solutions as their local Supalite installer and got in touch with us to discuss their options.

Project Overview
These customers wanted to keep the classic Victorian style of their conservatory, but give it a more modern look. However, their main priority was benefiting from an insulated tiled roof, without loosing too much natural light. So we decided on installing Extralight tiles to create a textured roof with exceptional durability and thermal efficiency, along with two Sky Vista glass panels with solar control, which would let in tons of light. We also added low-energy interior and exterior soffit lighting to give their new conservatory a finished, modern look from the inside and out.
Before & After
Previously, Dee’s conservatory had been too cold to use in winter. Now, they have a warm, cosy conservatory that they enjoy all year round. It has been styled to blend in with the rest of the property and gives them the extension-feel they were looking for.
